Medical Transcriptionist

You will be a part of our team as a Medical Transcriptionist, where your primary responsibility will be to transcribe voice recordings of medical professionals accurately. Your duties will include listening to dictations, interpreting and editing them for grammar and clarity, maintaining patient confidentiality as per HIPAA regulations, reviewing and proofreading transcriptions, entering medical reports into the EHR/EMR system, and ensuring accuracy and completeness. In case of inconsistencies or errors, you will communicate with medical staff for clarification, adhering to departmental guidelines and standards. To qualify for this role, you must hold a diploma or certification in Medical Transcription and possess 1-2 years of relevant experience in a hospital or clinic setting. Proficiency in English, strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology, excellent listening skills, and familiarity with EHR systems are essential requirements. A Bachelor's degree and experience in a multi-specialty hospital environment are preferred. Your skills and attributes should include a high level of accuracy and concentration, a good typing speed (minimum 60 WPM preferred), the ability to handle confidential information discreetly, excellent time management, and organizational skills. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as a flexible schedule, leave encashment, and paid sick time. The schedule may include day shifts, evening shifts, and rotational shifts. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Word Typing Certificate is preferred. The work location is in person.
