Ø Written draft sent from Wards should be typed immediately.
Ø The “Draft” of discharge summary typed should be given to resident doctors for correction.
Ø Final discharge summary should be sent for consultant’s signature.
Ø Discharge log book should be maintained – Case file of patient along with complete discharge summary with Consultants’ signature & reports should be handed over to the medical records department & signature of MRD Technician should be taken.
Ø Answers telephone and communicates messages appropriately and in a timely manner.
