Key Responsibilities
● Prepare, review, and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies.
● Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits.
● Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims to ensure timely resolution.
● Post payments, adjustments, and denials into the billing system.
● Maintain and update patient billing records with accuracy.
● Handle patient inquiries related to billing, balances, and statements.
● Collaborate with coders, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve billing
discrepancies.
● Stay updated with insurance regulations, reimbursement guidelines, and compliance
requirements (including HIPAA).
