Job Title: Surveyor – Power Distribution Department: Engineering / Operations Location: Jharkhand Key Responsibilities: · Conduct field surveys for overhead and underground power distribution systems. · Collect spatial data using GPS, total stations, drones, and other surveying equipment. · Prepare detailed site plans, maps, and drawings using CAD and GIS software. · Collaborate with engineers and planners to ensure accurate design layouts. · Identify right-of-way (ROW) issues, potential conflicts, and terrain challenges. · Mark and document the location of existing utility infrastructure. · Assist in planning for new distribution line installations or upgrades. · Ensure all surveying activities comply with local utility standards, codes, and safety regulations. · Maintain detailed records and documentation of survey results. · Coordinate with construction teams to ensure alignment between design and field implementation. Qualifications: · Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics. · Minimum [3–5] years of field surveying experience, preferably in power distribution or utilities. · Proficiency in surveying equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Trimble, Leica). · Knowledge of utility infrastructure, electrical distribution systems, and relevant safety standards. · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, maps, and schematics. · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Physical fitness for fieldwork in various environments. · Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote sites.
