Mechanical Fitter & Turner

You are an experienced and detail-oriented Turner (Lathe Machine Operator) who will be responsible for operating manual and/or CNC lathes to manufacture precision components for industrial machinery assemblies such as weighing systems, bagging machines, and conveyor components. Your key responsibilities include operating lathe machines to produce shafts, rollers, bushings, and other rotating parts, reading and interpreting technical drawings, setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, monitoring operations to meet tight tolerances, inspecting finished components using precision measuring instruments, performing machine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating with fabrication and assembly teams for timely part availability. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 2 years of proven experience in operating lathe machines, a strong understanding of turning operations, the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, familiarity with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, knowledge of quality control procedures, physical stamina, attention to detail, and a technical diploma or ITI certificate in machining or mechanical trades is a plus. It is preferred if you have experience in the machinery or conveyor manufacturing industry, can work on both conventional and CNC lathe machines, and are willing to assist with fitting or light fabrication tasks as needed. This is a full-time, permanent position with the benefit of Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift at the designated in-person work location.,
