Mechanical Engineer (From construction field)

As an MEP Engineer, your role will involve conducting physical site visits to take accurate measurements for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works. You will be responsible for preparing detailed quantity take-offs and material requirements based on site measurements and project drawings. Your tasks will also include drafting and verifying Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for MEP works, as well as verifying and certifying contractors" bills against actual work done at the site. Additionally, you will maintain site records, measurement sheets, and billing logs for all ongoing projects. Your coordination skills will be key as you work with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to resolve any discrepancies between drawings and site execution. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all MEP work billing is done in accordance with contract specifications and project timelines. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in supporting procurement by providing accurate quantities and specifications and monitoring material usage and wastage to help control project costs. Your commitment to ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory codes during site visits will be paramount. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent - 3+ years of experience in MEP engineering with site measurement and billing responsibilities - Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and related codes and standards - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity estimation tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift, or similar) - Strong understanding of construction drawings and site execution practices - Ability to read, interpret, and reconcile drawings with site work - Excellent analytical and numerical skills - Strong communication and coordination skills - Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed Please note that the job is full-time, and the preferred education level is a Bachelor's degree.
