Role: Design Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and driven Design Engineer with expertise in both mechanical systems and hydraulic design to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative rail-road equipment and engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate will need have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, proven hydraulic design experience, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, prototyping, and delivering engineering solutions. This position involves close coordination with the senior leadership and on-ground teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and hydraulic circuits for rail-road applications
• Create concept proposals, preliminary layouts, and detailed engineering drawings for mechanical assemblies and hydraulic systems
• Conduct design validation, prototyping, and testing
• Collaborate with production and QA teams to ensure design integrity and manufacturability
• Conduct site visits to gather real-time operational data and troubleshoot design-related issues
• Provide technical solutions for service and maintenance support
• Understand automotive/mechanical and hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, valves, linkages, and chassis structures
• Manage project timelines and maintain documentation in line with project schedules
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical and hydraulic system design
• Proficient in AutoCAD - 2D and 3D
• Knowledge of material selection, fabrication processes, and mechanical tolerances
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
