Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer with an MTech in Structural Engineering, possessing 7-10 years of practical experience in the design and analysis of RCC and Steel structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on RCC Water and Wastewater Tanks, Treatment Plants, RCC Silos, and Composite Buildings, with expertise in Indian, Euro, Japanese, and American Codes. Key Responsibilities: Design and Analysis: Independently design RCC and Steel structures, particularly RCC Water and Wastewater Tanks, Treatment Plants, Silos, and Composite Buildings. Perform structural analysis and design calculations using the latest design codes (Indian, Euro, Japanese, American). Design structures considering load-bearing capacities, seismic considerations, and relevant safety factors as per standards. Project Execution: Provide detailed design specifications for construction, ensuring compliance with all technical requirements and regulations. Collaborate with the drafting team, providing clear guidance for the preparation of construction drawings. Ensure designs meet project timelines and quality standards, collaborating with project managers to resolve technical challenges. Review and Approval: Review and check the design drawings submitted by draftsmen and ensure that they align with the structural design. Obtain necessary approvals from relevant clients and regulatory authorities for designs and construction plans. Conduct periodic site visits to verify the quality and adherence of construction to approved designs. Coordination and Client Interaction: Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss design requirements, modifications, and technical clarifications. Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and design calculations to clients and senior management. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure designs comply with Mecgale’s internal quality standards and industry regulations. Stay updated on the latest developments in structural design codes and best practices. Required Qualifications and Skills: Educational Qualification: MTech in Structural Engineering (from a recognised institution). Experience: 7-10 years of hands-on experience in designing RCC and Steel structures, especially RCC Water and Wastewater Tanks, Treatment Plants, Silos, and Composite Buildings. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Indian, Euro, Japanese, and American codes (IS, Eurocode, AISC, etc.). Proficiency in design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, and other structural design tools. Ability to independently design and review complex structures and systems. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, project teams, and contractors effectively. Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design verification and review.
