You will be the bridge between our engineering team's complex solutions and the compelling proposals that win us six-figure contracts. This role is for someone who loves translating technical jargon into clear, persuasive arguments. This position is open to both recent graduates with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for writing , as well as experienced professionals with a proven track record in solution architecture, or technical writing. You will be a key player in ensuring our value proposition is communicated effectively to win new opportunities. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, and Subject Matter Experts to understand client needs and project requirements. Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and other client inquiries to identify key technical and business drivers. Design and articulate tailored technical solutions that align with our product offerings and address specific client challenges. Write, edit, and format high-quality, professional proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and other client-facing documents. Create compelling supporting content, including technical diagrams, solution architecture visuals, presentations, and white papers. Ensure all proposal content is accurate, well-written, and compliant with client specifications and company standards. Manage a content library of reusable proposal materials to improve efficiency and consistency. Maintain a deep understanding of our company's products, services, and technology stack. Participate in strategy meetings and reviews to contribute to the overall bid strategy. Required Skills & Qualifications: Core Requirements (Applicable to all candidates): A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field. Exceptional English writing, editing, and proofreading skills. The ability to grasp complex technical concepts and explain them clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and/or Google Workspace. A proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative mindset. Preferred Qualifications (Ideal for experienced candidates): 3+ years of experience in a role such as technical writing, proposal management, pre-sales engineering, or solution consulting. Demonstrated experience in responding to government or commercial RFPs/RFIs. You will play a crucial role as a Technical Writer in producing high-quality Software Engineering documentation that significantly contributes to the success of our Proposal responses. Collaborating with a team of skilled tech writers, developers, quality engineers, senior managers, and usability experts, you will enhance the accessibility of our services. Your responsibility will include analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to determine the essential components of a successful proposal. Coordinating the overall presentation, content, and business aspects of proposals for various software engineering disciplines such as Platform, Application, Data Analytics, and Automation will be key to your role. It is essential for you to be organized, able to meet critical deadlines, engage with others effectively, and create high-quality winning proposals. As a member of the Solution Engineering team, you will engage in various administrative and proposal support tasks, including document preparation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and enhance technical proposal storylines. - Articulate the business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in technical proposal sections. - Research and write material, including information about Programs/Projects. - Obtain a deep understanding of the performance work statement and RFP/RFI requirements by collaborating with internal teams. - Produce high-quality Solution responses that meet standards and are suitable for the intended audience. - Collaborate with the team to clearly articulate strengths, win themes, key differentiators, and the business value proposition. - Create, review, and edit material to ensure compliant, compelling, and accurate text for final submission. - Ensure consistency in proposal writing to present a unified voice in proposal content. - Analyze existing content for reuse and single-sourcing opportunities. - Maintain the information architecture and participate in quality and completeness checks of opportunity responses. - Adhere to schedules and deadlines set by the proposal manager.
