About the Role:

We are seeking highly qualified mathematicians to support/lead the development and evaluation of advanced mathematical content used in training state-of-the-art AI models. The role requires expertise in graduate-level mathematics, strong LaTeX proficiency, and the ability to critically evaluate complex reasoning.

The SME will be responsible for authoring rigorous mathematical problems, producing high-quality solutions, and assessing AI-generated responses using structured rubrics.

Key Responsibilities :

Mathematical Content Development

• Develop original mathematics problems at upper-undergraduate, Master's, and PhD levels.
• Ensure all questions meet required standards of rigor, structure, and conceptual depth.
• Produce step-by-step, professionally formatted solutions using LaTeX.

Evaluation of Model Responses

• Review and assess AI-generated answers for correctness, logical structure, clarity, and conceptual understanding.
• Provide clear written feedback, identifying errors, gaps in reasoning, or inconsistencies.
• Apply detailed evaluation rubrics consistently across tasks.

Content Classification & Documentation

• Accurately categorize each question by domain, subtopic, difficulty, and type (proof-based, computational, conceptual, applied).
• Maintain precise records of work using Google Sheets or similar tools.
• Document trends in model performance and summarize recurring patterns or systematic issues.

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Mathematics or equivalent research-level expertise (mandatory).
• Strong command of advanced concepts across pure and applied mathematics.
• Proficiency in LaTeX for writing formal mathematical content.
• Comfort using Google Sheets or equivalent tools for tracking and documentation.
• Ability to identify subtle mathematical errors and reasoning flaws.
• Prior experience grading or reviewing advanced mathematics (preferred).
• Strong logical reasoning and attention to detail.
