Job Description: As a Math Teacher at Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Math education to students in remote regions through online platforms. Your primary focus will be to address teacher shortages in underserved areas globally by providing comprehensive, engaging, and effective instruction. Collaborating with Teacher Assistants in classrooms, you will create meaningful learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of students. Your core responsibilities will include delivering structured and interactive Math lessons via online platforms, coordinating with Teacher Assistants to manage classroom dynamics, developing and executing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, assessing student progress through evaluations, and adapting teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs. Additionally, based on your availability and expertise, you may contribute to content development, academic research, and teacher training programs. This could involve assisting in creating teaching materials aligned with the curriculum, collaborating on assessments and projects, supporting research initiatives to improve Math pedagogy, and participating in teacher training sessions focused on Math teaching methods. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) along with a Bachelor's degree in Education (BEd) with a focus on Math. You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in Math, as well as experience with online teaching platforms and digital tools. Strong expertise in Math subject matter and pedagogy, proficiency in using technology for remote teaching, and effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Preferred attributes include the ability to manage online classroom environments effectively, familiarity with challenges in underserved educational settings, and a willingness to contribute to additional academic initiatives based on availability and skills. This is a full-time role based in Hyderabad, India, with online teaching sessions following the academic calendar and schedules set by the organization and students" time zones.
