Company Description The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE) at IIT Delhi, established in 2018, is dedicated to advancing materials studies through interdisciplinary research. With over 20 full-time faculty members, DMSE hosts more than 100 Ph.D. scholars, 35 M.Tech/M.S. students, and 160 B.Tech students. Our programs include B.Tech in Materials Engineering, M.Tech in Materials Engineering and Polymer Science & Technology, and Ph.D. programs. DMSE features state-of-the-art research facilities and fosters collaboration among faculty, students, and industry partners to drive materials innovation. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for PhD/JRF Positions located in Lalganj. The candidate will conduct research in various fields of materials science, including metals, ceramics, polymers, and functional materials. Daily tasks involve experimental work, data analysis, literature review, and collaboration with faculty and fellow researchers. The role also includes contributing to publications, attending conferences, and participating in departmental activities. Qualifications Strong background in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field Proficiency in experimental techniques and data analysis Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline Knowledge of computational materials science is a plus Previous research experience and published work are advantageous Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
