Matchmove Artist

As a MatchMove Artist at Artisan Media in Chennai, India, you will be responsible for reproducing the geometry, camera movement, and object movement of live-action shots in a 3D environment. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Performing 3D rotoscoping, including transformation of characters, face, hand, and leg replacements, as well as 3D objects for interactions and shadows. - Matching live-action footage in a 3D environment by executing camera, object tracking, and 3D rotoscoping. - Participating in Matchmove dailies and desk rounds to maintain consistent shot quality. - Receiving feedback on your work, following directions from leads, and assisting with conforming any Lidar scans. - Supporting your lead/senior in meeting target deliveries and escalating any technical or production issues to the relevant stakeholders. To excel in this role, you must be proficient in 3D Equalizer, Maya, and Boujou, with a basic knowledge of Film/Digital SLR cameras. Additionally, you should possess a good understanding of 3D camera principles, camera data sheets, and turnover sheets, along with the ability to assist with image-based modeling for Matchmove models. Desired Skills: - Experience in Hollywood VFX preferred. - Willingness to learn new tools, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work under tight deadlines, maintain quality standards, and collaborate effectively within a production environment. - Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. - Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently to meet productivity targets. Software Knowledge: Maya, Matchmover, Nuke, Syntheyes, and 3D Equalizer.
