Purchase Engineer - Masta Casting Ahmedabad Masta Castings is a part of Masta Group of Companies , engaged in manufacturing quality Castings, in different Grades and sizes, and is catering to the core industrial sector across India. We are looking for a dynamic Self self-driven, motivated Individual with good academic qualifications and exposure to medium-sized foundry procurement. The incumbent for our foundry will be a professional who collaborates with the engineering and production teams to source and procure raw materials, components, and equipment needed for the foundry's metal casting operations. He will be responsible for identifying and vetting suppliers, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts for price and delivery, and ensuring that all procured items meet the foundry's strict quality specifications and the technical requirements for the casting process. Key Responsibilities Supplier Management: Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and build strong relationships with reliable vendors for both raw materials and specialized equipment. Technical Evaluation: Work with the foundry's technical team to understand the specific requirements and specifications for castings and the machinery used in the casting process. Negotiation and Contracts: Obtain quotations from suppliers, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules, and finalize contracts for procured items. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all purchased materials and equipment meet the required quality standards, technical drawings, and specifications through inspections and sample testing. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with various internal departments, including design, production, quality, and logistics, to align procurement activities with overall operational needs. Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of all purchase transactions, supplier information, and contracts.
