Job Title: Mass Communication Teacher – Grades 11 & 12 Location: DQ Labs, Indiranagar Position Type: Part - Time Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Mass Communication teacher to instruct students of Grades 11 and 12. The ideal candidate should be passionate about media, journalism, and communication, with the ability to guide students through both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. The teacher should inspire critical thinking, creativity, and media literacy, preparing students for board exams and careers in media, journalism, and related fields. Key Responsibilities: Teach core concepts of Mass Communication, including media history, journalism, advertising, public relations, digital media, and film appreciation as per curriculum – NIOS Board. (Similar to CBSE Syllabus) Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that integrate theory with real-world media practices. Encourage practical exposure through student-led projects like newsletters, short films, podcasts, and social media campaigns. Introduce students to media tools and techniques such as script writing, editing, reporting, photography, and content creation. Organize guest lectures, media lab activities, or field visits to media houses, where possible. Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, and examinations. Mentor students in communication skills, media ethics, and responsible media consumption. Support students in preparing for board exams, entrance tests, or careers in mass communication and journalism. Maintain academic records, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to the development of the humanities or language departments. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or related fields. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred. 2–5 years of teaching or media industry experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Key Skills: Strong theoretical foundation and practical knowledge of media and communication. Proficiency in media tools (e.g., video editing software, blogging platforms, presentation tools). Creative teaching methodology and ability to inspire curiosity. Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills. Ability to bridge the gap between academics and industry trends. Preferred: Experience in mentoring school media clubs or publications. Exposure to CBSE/NIOS senior secondary curriculum. Background in content creation, journalism, or digital media production. Job Type: Part-time Pay: ₹7,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month Expected hours: 6 per week Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
