Location: Mylapore, Chennai. Type: Full-time, On-site Work hours: Mon–Sat, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST* Experience - 6 months to 2 years About the role We’re hiring an on-site L1 IT administrator for our client. You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for users, client management on IT infrastructure, solving everyday issues fast, keeping devices healthy, andhanding off complex problems to our remote L2/L3 team if necessary. What you’ll do End-user support: Fix day-to-day issues with Windows laptops/desktops, printers, basic apps (Outlook, Office, browsers), login/password resets, new user setup, and device onboarding. Networking (strong focus): Diagnose and fi x LAN/Wi-Fi problems (IP confl icts, DHCP/DNS basics, SSID/auth issues). Patch/replace cables, switch/router checks, port mapping, link status, and uptime monitoring. Document and escalate recurring or site-wide issues to L2/L3 with clear notes. Hardware care: Routine health checks, replace faulty parts under warranty, keep asset records clean and updated. Firewall touchpoints: Watch health/status and user access requests; raise any rule/policy/config changes to L2/L3 promptly. Accounts & productivity suites: Create/modify/user offboarding in Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace (mailbox access, basic device sign-in help). First-level troubleshooting for Outlook/OneDrive/Teams or Gmail/Drive; escalate sync/license issues when needed. Cloud (Basic): Help users access shared cloud folders/sites; solve simple fi le-sharing or permission hiccups; escalate anything infra-level. Ticketing & reporting: Log every incident/request with good notes, keep users updated, and share crisp daily/weekly status reports. Asset management and having full control over the client's IT Assets. Vendors & subscriptions: Coordinate RMA/warranty calls, keep software subscriptions/renewals tracked, and send advance expiry reminders. Ensure only authorized users hold subscriptions. Backup hygiene: Run/check monthly backups as per checklist, verify completion, and give access only to authorized personnel. Coordination: Work closely with Marslab’s remote L2/L3 engineers for escalations and follow-through till closure. Must-have skills Networking (strong): Solid grasp of IP basics, DHCP/DNS, subnetting fundamentals, VLAN awareness, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, switch/router basics, and reading link/port status. Windows endpoint support: Common fi xes, driver/app issues, updates, profi les, and printer mapping. M365/Google Workspace basics: User lifecycle, mailbox/device sign-in, and fi rst-level productivity app support. Ticket discipline & communication: Clear logging, user updates, and handovers. Ownership mindset: You don’t just pass the ball—you follow through. Working on Firewall, Active Directory, Network attached storage, M365/Google Administration, Ticketing tool, Asset management.
