Key Responsibilities: Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright with Java or TypeScript . Create modular, reusable, and maintainable test scripts. Functional & API Testing: Conduct end-to-end functional testing across web and API layers. Implement and maintain automated test suites for functional and API validation. Identify gaps in existing coverage and proactively enhance automation to close them. Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and other QA Engineers to review and understand feature requirements and user stories. Write detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on acceptance criteria. Execute automated test scripts regularly and report findings clearly. Bug Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring they are resolved promptly. Provide root cause analysis of test failures and ensure issues are clearly articulated. Collaboration & Communication: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Communicate progress, risks, and blockers to stakeholders effectively. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and process enhancements. Stay up-to-date with evolving testing methodologies, tools, and technologies. Must-Have Skills: 5 Years of Experience in Automation: Proven track record of 5 years in Functional and API automation testing. Deep experience designing and executing automated tests in web and API contexts. Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI automation. Solid understanding of API automation testing using REST-assured or similar tools. Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of Java or TypeScript for building automated scripts. SDLC & STLC Understanding: In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes. Ability to align testing activities with project delivery timelines and quality goals. Test Management & Reporting: Experience with test management tools like JIRA , TestRail , or equivalent. Clear understanding of defect lifecycle and effective defect management. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Adaptable, proactive, and passionate about quality.
