Fixture Design - Team Lead Experience and Qualification: - BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognised institute or equivalent 6-10 years experience in Fixture Design in Automotive or off-highway equipment engineering Working as Checker and Team Lead Handling the project independently Ability to work and lead on Concept Design, Design Execution, Detailing of Various types of fixtures especially MIG welding Fixtures. Role description Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Automotive / Design) Hands Experience in Designing & Detailing spot welding/MIG welding fixtures (automated and manual) CATIA V5 UG NX Design experience in BIW welding fixtures Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly process Experience in working in OEMs like GM, VW, BMW, FOR, DAIMLER, etc. Experience in conducting Technical Review with customer Exposure to multiple CAD tools will be an added advantage Experience in Teamcenter will be added advantage Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Key Responsibilities: Independently handle the complete project lifecycle, from conception to commissioning. Prepare manufacturing drawings for WHRB (smoke tube and water tube), pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping in compliance with IBR and ASME standards. Generate structure drawings, including self-supported and structure-supported chimneys. Develop layout drawings, GA drawings, and foundation drawings. Design compact skids to meet project requirements. Requirements: 6-8 years of experience in power plant projects, with a focus on WHRBs and steam turbine packages. Proficiency in Auto-cad/Solidworks and other relevant software for independent work. Familiarity with mechanical calculations as per IBR, ASME, and structural analysis tools such as STADD.
