Site Supervisor – Fire Fighting System Installation, Position: Site Supervisor – Fire Fighting System Department: Projects / Installation Location: Project Site Reporting To: Project Manager / Operations Head Role Overview:The Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the timely completion of fire-fighting system installation works at the project site. The role requires strong technical knowledge of fire safety equipment, excellent team handling skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:1. Site Execution & SupervisionSupervise daily installation activities of fire-fighting systems (hydrant, sprinkler, pump room, hose reels, pipelines, fire extinguishers, etc.). Allocate work to technicians, fitters, helpers, and monitor productivity. Verify installation as per approved drawings, IS standards, and project specifications. Coordinate with other services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil) for smooth execution. 2. Quality & Safety ComplianceEnsure materials used are approved and meet quality standards. Conduct daily quality checks on installed systems (pressure testing, alignment, supports, welding, threading, etc.). Maintain proper safety practices, ensure PPE usage, and report any unsafe conditions. Follow all applicable codes (NBC, IS standards) related to fire systems. 3. Coordination & CommunicationAttend site meetings with Client, Consultant, and Contractors. Coordinate with vendors for material delivery and ensure proper inventory management. Report daily progress to the Project Manager through DPR (Daily Progress Report). 4. Documentation & ReportingMaintain site records, material consumption, manpower log, equipment list, and inspection reports. Assist during inspections by Fire Department, Third-Party Auditor, and Consultant. Ensure proper documentation for testing and commissioning. 5. Testing & CommissioningSupport pressure testing, pump room testing, flow testing, and final commissioning. Ensure system performance meets design parameters before handover. Required Skills & ExperienceDiploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Safety, or relevant field. Minimum 1 years experience in fire-fighting system installation Good knowledge of sprinkler, hydrant, and pump room systems. Ability to read and understand drawings (GA, Isometric, Layouts). Strong supervision, manpower management, and communication skills. Familiar with site safety standards and firefighting codes.
