Manager - US Tax Operations and Shared Services

As the Manager of US Tax Operations and Shared Services at Citrin Cooperman, you will be responsible for overseeing various key aspects of tax operations and providing essential support to the local offices. Your role will involve managing the assembly of income tax returns, extensions, and miscellaneous information returns, as well as supervising SafeSend Assembly and SurePrep support. Additionally, you will be in charge of E-filing tasks, CCH Workflow (XCM) support, Tax Operations automation, and handling various information return E-filing processes. Moreover, your responsibilities will include setting up new clients in tax-related systems, providing support to Tax Operations SWAT teams, managing deadlines, reconciling due date reports, troubleshooting Tax Department policies and procedures, and mentoring Tax Operations coordinators. You will also be involved in supporting newly integrated firms and facilitating communication across Tax Operations teams in the region. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the tax and accounting industry. Proficiency in various software tools such as CaseWare, Axcess Tax, CCH Document, GoSystem, GoFile Room, Avalara, SurePrep, SafeSend, CCH Workflow (XCM), and XCM Calendar is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously are key qualifications required for this position. Furthermore, you should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Superior Excel skills will be advantageous. The role may require working overtime and weekends during the spring and fall busy seasons, therefore flexibility and the ability to handle stressful situations effectively are important attributes for success in this role.
