Manager, Software Engineering - Data Platform

As an engineering manager at Addepar, you will play a pivotal role in constructing the modern data platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with engineering partners and other platform users to identify requirements, priorities, and solutions for challenging technology and workflow issues - Establishing Addepar's Data Lakehouse as the central financial data hub through integrations with various data sources - Leading a team of engineers in India to develop and deploy Data Lakehouse solutions focusing on infrastructure, data tooling, and integrations - Playing a hands-on role in system design and code development to establish a solid foundation for the software architecture of the team To excel in this role, you should possess: - At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering management and a minimum of 8+ years in data platform development and management, with expertise in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and platform toolings - Proficiency in Python or Java, as this is a hands-on engineering manager position that involves coding, designing, and team management - A positive and confident demeanor with a high level of ingenuity, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills - Familiarity with working in a cloud environment, automated infrastructure, and service-oriented architecture - A customer-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving - Practical knowledge of agile practices, prioritizing experimentation and iteration to guide teams towards optimal outcomes Please note that this position requires working from the Pune office three days a week as part of a hybrid work model.
