Manager MME HBEU Credit and Risk

As a Manager MME HBEU Credit and Risk at HSBC, your role will involve contributing to the credit approval process by providing concise and well-reasoned approvals (and Declines) within appropriate time scales. You will be responsible for implementing credit risk policies, procedures, and standards set out in the GSM, Credit & Risk BIM, and Global Wholesale Risk FIM. Additionally, you will manage and mitigate operational risks in your day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance with Basel 2/3 regulations and maintaining HSBC internal control standards. Your contributions will aim to contribute to the profitability of the HSBC Group and minimize loan losses by ensuring that reviewed proposals meet the HSBC Group's risk appetite. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute to the credit approval process by providing concise and well-reasoned approvals (and Declines) within appropriate time scales. - Implement credit risk policies, procedures, and standards set out in the GSM, Credit & Risk BIM, and Global Wholesale Risk FIM. - Manage and mitigate operational risks in day-to-day operations. - Ensure compliance with Basel 2/3 regulations and maintain HSBC internal control standards. - Contribute to the profitability of the HSBC Group and minimize loan losses by reviewing proposals to meet the risk appetite. **Qualifications:** - University degree in commerce/economics/management/engineering. Preference for candidates holding MBA-Finance or equivalent/CA/ICWA/CS/CAIIB/CFA. - 4-5+ years of relevant experience in handling SME/Corporates in a reputed Bank/FI. - Strong analytical and technical skills. - Eye for conducting detailed due diligence and change-oriented mindset. - Demonstrate commercial credit skills and credit process management. - Knowledge of HSBC Group, particularly CMB, its operations, products, and credit policies. - Good knowledge of CARM and proven history of effective credit decisions. - Evidence of cultural awareness and sensitivity. - Strong verbal & written communication skills. - Excellent time and organizational management and resilience under pressure.
