Job Description

As a Manager - Business Consulting at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in providing analytical support to Global and Regional business teams across risk operations analytics, product analytics, and customer journey and experience. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting Data Quality Analysis and exploratory data analysis to identify appropriate datasets for analytics use cases. - Developing data-based approaches to business problems through descriptive and predictive analytics. - Creating Trend Analysis and Dashboards using Visualization techniques primarily on Qliksense. - Executing projects and analysis within agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy and quality. - Delivering end-to-end on simple projects independently and assisting in the delivery of more complicated analyses under supervision. - Producing high-quality data and reports to support process improvements, decision-making, and achievement of performance targets. - Developing and executing Business Intelligence/analytical initiatives aligned with business objectives using structured and unstructured data sources. - Understanding business requirements to produce, automate, analyze, and interpret reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. - Ensuring adherence to compliance policies, data security, operational risk, and business standards. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5 years of experience in the data analytics industry, with knowledge of banking and financial services preferred. - Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Maths, or Stats from a reputed university. - Expertise in data analysis skills using SQL, Python, Pyspark, and Excel, and familiarity with complex tech stacks. - Strong visualization skills in Qlik Sense and Power BI. - Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to showcase analysis using engaging visuals. - Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to connect business domain and data for multiple use cases. - Good written and spoken communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to business stakeholders. - Ability to work in cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal skills and drive for success. - Independent worker with a high drive to support Global teams with demanding work hours. - Analytical thought process and problem-solving aptitude.
