Job Summary: The Tool Maker will be responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and repairing press tools and other tooling essential for sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of press tool design and function, sheet metal fabrication processes, and proficiency in 2D drawing and AutoCAD for tool modifications and new tool development. Key Responsibilities: Design, fabricate, modify, and repair various types of press tools (e.g., blanking, piercing, forming, bending, drawing dies) for sheet metal components. Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and 2D CAD models to produce precise tooling. Set up and operate conventional tool room machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to create tool components. Perform precision grinding, fitting, and assembly of tool components to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing tooling, implementing effective repair and maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
