Mainframe Lead

• We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Lead to oversee the development maintenance and optimization of mainframe systems
• This role involves leading a team of developers ensuring system reliability and implementing best practices for performance security and compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mainframe development teams across project lifecycles
• Design develop and maintain applications using COBOL JCL CICS DB2 and IMS
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure high availability performance and scalability of mainframe systems
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices
• Implement disaster recovery strategies and ensure data security compliance
• Guide modernization efforts and integration with distributed systems
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
• Maintain documentation for system architecture and processes

Technical Requirements:

• Primary skills Technology Mainframe Technologies Mainframe Technologies ALL

Additional Responsibilities:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
• 6 years of experience in mainframe development and architecture
• Proficiency in COBOL JCL CICS DB2 and IMS
• Experience with scripting languages like REXX Shell or Groovy
• Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and tools
• Familiarity with DevOps CI CD and Agile Scrum methodologies
• Excellent problem solving analytical and communication skills
• Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams
