Job Title: Network Specialist Work Location : Client site Nariman Point, Mumbai (on-site presence required). Note: MKCLs branch office is located in Seawoods, Navi Mumbai. Responsibilities The Network Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic development of MKCL's IT Infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day infrastructure operations, leading the IT Infra team, maintaining optimal network and server performance, and ensuring the security of all physical and digital assets. This position requires a proactive approach to infrastructure management, adherence to industry standards, and the ability to align IT strategies with the organizations overall objectives. Lead and manage IT Infrastructure staff, including setting departmental goals and monitoring performance. Develop and manage the IT Infrastructure budget in alignment with organizational priorities. Plan, implement, and maintain IT Infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. Optimize server farms, manage bandwidth requirements, and implement robust network security protocols. Develop, document, and enforce IT Infrastructure policies, procedures, and best practices. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving security threats to inform infrastructure strategy. Ensure infrastructure processes and strategies support company-wide operational and business goals. Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure service levels and deliverables are met. Prepare and present detailed proposals on new IT Infrastructure initiatives, including analysis of benefits and risks, to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Demonstrate initiative by leading infrastructure projects that offer added business value. Requisite Skills / Technology The ideal candidate for the Network Specialist role should possess deep technical expertise and hands-on experience in server management, database administration, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure. The individual must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to implement secure, scalable, and high-performing IT Infrastructure solutions. Core Competencies: Server Management (Windows/Linux/UNIX): Expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade servers. Ensuring optimal server uptime, performance, and security through regular updates, patches, and upgrades. Maintaining accurate hardware and software inventories for server assets. Monitoring server performance metrics and executing performance tuning and optimization strategies. Planning for server scaling and resource allocation aligned with organizational growth. Designing, implementing, and regularly testing robust backup and disaster recovery procedures. Securing server environments through access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, and incident response protocols. Security Management: Configuration and maintenance of firewalls, VPNs, and security mechanisms to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Implementation of proactive threat detection and mitigation strategies. Automation and Scripting: Automating routine infrastructure tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to enhance operational efficiency. Database Administration: Installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.). Monitoring database performance and applying optimizations including indexing and query tuning. Applying database security best practices, including encryption, role-based access control, and audit logging. Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with managing virtual environments (preferably XCP-NG or similar platforms). Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Ensuring high availability, proper scaling, and resource management across virtual and cloud systems. Qualification/s B.E. / B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication or MCA Candidates with one or more of the following certifications will be given preference AWS / Azure Cloud, RHCE, Microsoft, MySQL DBA will be preferred. Relevant Experience Work Experience : 8 to 12 years required Pay Level at MKCL : Level 1 or 2 The specific level for the selected candidate shall be decided based on his/her qualifications and relevant experience. Compensation Package - Cost To Company (CTC): Approximate range: 10 to 12 lakhs per annum. The above-mentioned CTC does not include the Annual Special Allowance (linked to the applicable DA percentage) and the Organizational Performance Linked Award, which may be paid additionally during the financial year in accordance with the company's Remuneration Policy.
