As a Procurement Engineer/Expediting Engineer at Mackenzie Engineering Limited, your primary responsibility will be to manage procurement activities for various projects in the Oil & Gas, Power, Steel, and Chemical industries. Your role will involve collaborating with technical teams, evaluating vendor submissions, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and deadlines. Here are the key responsibilities you will undertake: - Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Purchase Requisitions (PRs) based on project and operational requirements. - Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to evaluate vendor submissions for compliance with technical specifications and project scope. - Ensure timely execution of procurement activities, maintain procurement calendars, and meet project or operational deadlines. - Identify, onboard, and manage vendors globally, monitor performance, ensure quality delivery, and maintain supplier databases. - Source and evaluate international suppliers to ensure best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Monitor international procurement risks and logistics issues. - Ensure all procurement processes comply with internal policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulatory and legal requirements. - Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to secure the best terms and pricing without compromising on quality or timelines. - Prepare and manage all documentation required for bids, coordinate cross-functional input, and ensure completeness and accuracy of submissions. Additionally, you must have excellent proficiency in English (both oral & written), knowledge of pump, motors, valves, actuators, field instruments, HVAC systems, and relevant design codes. Exposure to multi-discipline projects and experience working with clients in the USA will be advantageous. The office timing is from 3 pm to 12 midnight. Please note that the company prefers candidates with a Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering background and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry (Refinery/Petro-chemicals only).
