Machine Operator (Steel Coil Slitting/Cut to Length CTL)

As a steel coil slitting machine operator, your primary responsibility will be to set up and operate the machine in accordance with work orders and production schedules. You will be tasked with loading and unloading coils using overhead cranes or forklifts. It will also be your duty to adjust slitting knives and tooling to ensure accurate widths and tolerances, as well as monitor machine operation to detect any malfunctions or product defects. You will need to perform quality checks to ensure that the slit coils meet specified requirements such as width, burr, camber, and edge condition. Keeping accurate production and inspection records will be crucial to the role. Additionally, routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting minor machine issues will be part of your responsibilities. Safety procedures must be strictly adhered to, and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Effective communication with supervisors and collaborative teamwork with other team members are essential aspects of the job. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is also expected from you. This is a full-time position with benefits including food provision, health insurance, paid sick time, and Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift, and there is a yearly bonus offered. A Diploma is preferred as an educational qualification, and a total of 3 years of work experience is desirable. Possession of an ITI certification is also preferred. Please note that the work location is in person, and you will be expected to work on-site.,
