Role Overview We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive with a strong background in selling GIS solutions and related services to Indian Government organisations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in securing and managing government contracts, driving business growth, and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Achieve and exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets. Identify, develop, and close business opportunities with central, state, and local government bodies across India. Lead the entire sales cycle – from lead generation and proposal preparation to negotiations and contract closure. Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers in government departments and PSUs. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and tenders for GIS projects. Keep abreast of government procurement policies, tenders, and bidding processes related to GIS and geospatial solutions. Collaborate with the technical team to develop customised solutions for client needs. Travel extensively to client sites across India for meetings, presentations, and project follow-ups. Requirements Minimum 2 years of proven experience in selling GIS or geospatial solutions/services to Indian Government organisations. Strong understanding of the Indian government procurement process, including GeM portal, e-tendering, and RFP submissions. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong network and contacts within government departments. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Willingness to travel extensively within India.
