M2P Fintech is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to drive new initiatives from scratch across cross functional teams and to rollout business transformational programs. In this role, you will build and grow a new team of SDEs with the help of Leads. You and your team will work with PEs, Product Managers, Risk Managers, TPMs and Senior Leadership to design, develop and deliver results while fostering inputs and participation from all levels of the organization. You will be the engineering Owner for the products built by your teams. The services built will be highly scalable, low latency, secured and massively distributed. You’ll be responsible for growing and mentoring engineers in your team, set the team culture. You will actively coach and provide feedback to your team members and invest in their career growth. Your team will own the design, delivery, deployment and actively manage operations of the services built. What Will You Do in this Role Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution – from conception to delivery to operations. Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities that helps them succeed in their business goals. Work closely with engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development. Instil best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules. Partner and integrate with the best in market to bring is best in class embedded fintech features. Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions. Solve complex problems in an innovative way and deliver quality solutions while taking ownership and accountability of assigned things. Lead and guide team members on everything from structured problem solving to development of best practices and ensure positive career development. What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science or any equivalent degree. Experienced technology leader with 11+ years of software development experience including 5+ years in building and leading strong engineering teams. Substantial experience in building complex and scalable solutions. Strong object-oriented design skills, ability to apply design patterns, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces. Strong service architecture and development experience with high performance and scalability Strong at technical goal setting for a project with actionable success metrics. Good knowledge and experience on measuring a service from user experience angle. Strong on driving for results and self-motivated, strong learning mindset, with good understanding of related advanced/new technology. Keep up with the technology development in the related areas in the industry, which could be leveraged to enhance current architectures and build durable new ones. Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levels and executive management. You will manage the team at site that is very fast paced and highly capable to troubleshoot, debug, fix the issues, and automate solutions. This role will suit an individual who excels in a challenging and dynamic environment, enjoys providing world-class support and is having a high level of customer centricity. What Will You Do in this Role Mentor and empower engineers to deliver sound solutions for our customers within defined SLAs. The team’s primary responsibilities include analysing and troubleshooting application and other open-source components related issues, debug and fix the issues, oversee the setup client / systems, and supervise change deployment. Build the team as the subject matter expert of applications, underlying architecture, and data relationships. Act as a Technical lead for critical incident and escalation calls by being a Single Point of Contact from the Bank’s end, Engineering and Product team. Partners with Product engineering teams, QA teams, IT teams and Project management teams and other internal stakeholders as required for successful resolution of issues reported to in production support. Identify opportunity and take the lead on automation projects that will improve processes and the usability of products for internal users. Create metrics and measure team performance. Ensure the team follows / maintains proper attendance, reporting, issue tracking and support procedures. Understand the issues and communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical teams at customers as well as internally to organisations team members and regularly update leadership teams on project status. What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or established professionals with relevant experience. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in managing / leading a team with ability to mentor engineers from diverse backgrounds and skillsets. Minimum of 4+ years of experience in operations and application support background. Experience in Lending domain with strong knowledge in LMS and LOS. Experience in managing Web and Mobile application support. Deep hands-on experience in SQL Queries and Log analysis. A great problem solver with ability to simplify complex issues. Great interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to meet deadlines. Experience in deployment activities. Experience in incident management life cycle.
