PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: A PL/SQL Developer design, develop, and maintain application database components (PL/SQL objects and reports) using PL/SQL programming language. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Designing and developing database packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers and views using PL/SQL. Writing complex and efficient SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data. Optimizing database performance by tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code. Identifying, investigating, and resolving application database issues, and debugging PL/SQL code. Working with application developers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Provide support during various phases of testing as well as production support. Write ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements. Required to deal with complex data models and object relation database mapping, while producing complex reports. Ensuring data security and compliance with company policies and standards. Keeping up-to-date with emerging database technologies and industry trends. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Minimum 1 year of experience working as a PL/SQL Developer in Oracle database 11g or higher versions. Experience of working with MySQL and MS SQL Server will be added advantage. University degree/diploma holder in IT. Completion of Oracle certified training is an asset. Strong PL/SQL skills. Ability to write efficient, complex queries against very large data sets using SQL Developer. Experience in writing VBScript for automation and control of database reports. Ability to model, analyze and manage large volumes of data. Ability to quickly learn new business and technical concepts in a fast-paced service focused environment. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Highly motivated with the ability to work well independently and within a team environment. Proactive, can do attitude.
