Strategic procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies, plans, and processes to align with business goals. Supplier management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, and manage relationships and contracts with existing ones to ensure performance and compliance. Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers for favorable pricing, terms, and conditions. Market analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks. Purchase order management: Oversee the entire purchase order cycle, from placement to delivery, receipt, and invoice payment, and ensure proper delegation and oversight for junior buyers. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams like operations and finance to understand requirements and resolve issues. Reporting: Provide reports and updates on procurement activities, performance, and market intelligence to management.
