Role & responCreate and enforce SOPs and maintenance policies; ensure uptime and availability targets. Diagnose breakdowns, plan repairs, manage spares inventory, vendor coordination, and AMC oversight. Plan shutdowns, overhauls, and calibration; ensure safety compliance and statutory records. Coordinate with project/site teams for equipment scheduling and mobilization. Train mechanics/technicians; enforce quality of workmanship and safety. Budgeting and cost control for maintenance, fuel/lube consumption, and spares. Must-have skills: Hands-on experience with asphalt and road construction equipment and HMP. Preventive maintenance, RCA, and reliability mindset. Maintenance planning, CMMS/logging discipline, and documentation. Team leadership across mechanics/electricians/fitters. Vendor management and spares planning specific to road equipment. Nice-to-have skills: Familiarity with OEMs like Wirtgen, Vogele, Ammann, Apollo, BOMAG, Dynapac. Exposure to micro-surfacing, road marking, kerb casting machinery. CMMS/ERP usage for maintenance tracking. Experience: Typically 815+ years in P&E/maintenance for road construction/asphalt.
