Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Vision Tester to join our team responsible for testing advanced machine vision-based inspection systems. The ideal candidate may have hands-on experience in testing vision systems, image processing algorithms, and hardware/software integration, ensuring robust performance under various industrial conditions. Key Responsibilities: Test and validate machine vision inspection systems for performance, accuracy, and reliability. Analyze images and test data to verify detection accuracy, false positives/negatives, and processing speed. Perform functional, regression, and stress testing on software and hardware components. Write and execute test cases, test plans, and maintain detailed test reports and logs. Simulate real-world conditions to evaluate vision system robustness. Collaborate with development, automation, and product teams to report bugs and suggest improvements. Validate hardware integration such as cameras, lighting, optics, and motion systems with the vision software. Assist in root cause analysis of vision-related issues in production or test environments. Continuously improve test coverage and test automation of vision-related features. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering (ECE, EEE, Instrumentation, or related). 2-5 years of hands-on experience testing machine vision systems or desktop applications. Knowledge of scripting (Python/C#/VB) for test automation is a plus. Familiarity with bug tracking systems like Jira, and version control tools like Git. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications (Not mandatory): Experience testing vision systems used in industrial inspection, surface defect detection, OCR/OCV, or robot guidance. Familiarity with vision libraries and tools like HALCON, OpenCV, etc. Basic understanding of camera technologies (CCD/CMOS), optics, and lighting in vision systems. Exposure to test automation tools for image comparison and statistical test analysis. Experience working with image data sets, filters, edge detection, blob analysis, pattern matching, etc. Working knowledge of PLCs, motion systems, or embedded controllers in a vision setup is advantageous.
