Responsible for executing, supervising, and ensuring timely completion of electrical works in high-rise residential projects, with strong technical skills, site coordination, and adherence to safety, quality, and approved specifications.
Role & responsibilities 1. Project Execution & Supervision Execute and supervise all electrical works including conduit laying, cabling, wiring, earthing, DB/MDB/Panel installations, lighting, power, and ELV systems. Ensure installations are carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications . Monitor subcontractors and site workers for quality, progress, and productivity . Coordinate with civil, plumbing, and HVAC teams to resolve clashes and ensure smooth execution. 2. Planning & Coordination Plan daily and weekly work schedules in line with project timelines. Raise material indents on time and monitor availability at site. Coordinate with consultants/clients for inspections, approvals, and site instructions. Assist in finalizing shop drawings and as-built drawings . 3. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure compliance with Indian Standards (IS), NBC, IEC, and local authority regulations . Check and approve incoming materials for quality and specifications. Carry out site inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards. Conduct testing of wiring, insulation resistance, earthing, and system performance before handover. 4. Health & Safety Ensure all electrical works are carried out as per safety norms . Implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures where required. Conduct toolbox talks and train site staff on electrical safety awareness . Prevent unsafe practices and ensure compliance with site HSE policies . 5. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports . Maintain proper records of material consumption, stock, and site delivery . Keep test reports, checklists, and inspection reports updated for client/consultant review. Document site changes through red-line markups and as-built drawings . 6. Testing & Commissioning Supervise and participate in the testing and commissioning of panels, DBs, transformers, DG sets, UPS, earthing, fire alarm, and ELV systems. Ensure systems are tested in coordination with other services (HVAC, lifts, fire-fighting). Obtain final approvals from consultants and statutory authorities before handover. 7. Handover & Post-Completion Support in preparation of snag lists/punch points and ensure closure. Assist in client demonstrations and training on system operation. Ensure proper documentation (O&M manuals, test certificates, warranties) is handed over. Preferred candidate profile Strong leadership and team management skills to handle subcontractors and site manpower. Excellent coordination and communication skills for dealing with consultants, clients, and site teams. Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, schematics, BOQ & load calculations . Expertise in wiring, conduit, cabling practices, and ELV systems . Proficiency in testing & commissioning procedures . Flexibility to work on extended hours / weekends if project timelines demand. Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and project reporting tools preferred. Should have experience in high-rise building safety practices and lift/firefighting integration with electrical systems .
