About the Role We are building a ride-hailing / taxi booking platform (Loyal Safar) and are looking for a skilled Backend Developer (Laravel) who can design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases to ensure smooth functioning of our mobile applications. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend services using PHP Laravel. Build and optimize RESTful APIs for taxi booking, ride management, payments, and user authentication. Integrate with Google Maps API, Firebase, and SMS services. Write clean, secure, and scalable code. Work with frontend team (Flutter) to ensure smooth integration. Handle database design, optimization, and queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL). Debug and troubleshoot application issues. Deploy and manage application on cloud servers (Google Cloud). Required Skills Strong experience in PHP (Laravel Framework). Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL databases. Knowledge of API development & integration. Familiarity with cloud hosting (Google Cloud / AWS / DigitalOcean). Understanding of Firebase (Notifications & Authentication). Basic knowledge of payment gateway integration. Experience with Git / version control systems. Problem-solving and debugging skills. Good to Have Experience in real-time apps (socket.io / pusher / WebSockets). Prior work on taxi booking / ride-hailing / delivery apps. Knowledge of DevOps basics (CI/CD, server monitoring, etc.). QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT OR equivalent practical experience. 2+ years of experience in Laravel development.
