Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics & Dispatch Executive to manage daily truck dispatches, delivery coordination, transportation documentation, and dispatch-related data. The candidate must ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, proper record-keeping, and smooth coordination between the sales, warehouse, accounts, and transport teams.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate daily truck loading and dispatch schedules.

Arrange vehicles and coordinate with transporters and drivers for timely dispatch and delivery.

Prepare and verify delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, LR/GR receipts, gate passes, and other dispatch documents, as applicable.

Maintain accurate dispatch registers, vehicle details, delivery records, and transporter data.

Track dispatched vehicles and follow up on delivery status, delays, and proof of delivery (POD).

Coordinate with the sales, accounts, inventory, and production teams to ensure material readiness and smooth dispatch.

Ensure the correct material, quantity, weight, and documents are matched before every truck leaves the plant.

Update daily dispatch reports and maintain records in Excel or Google Sheets/ERP.

Monitor pending deliveries, vehicle turnaround time, freight costs, and transporter performance.

Resolve delivery discrepancies, documentation errors, and transportation-related issues promptly.

Ensure compliance with applicable transportation and dispatch documentation requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Graduate or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in logistics and dispatch, preferably in the steel industry or a manufacturing/service centre environment.

Good working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and dispatch documentation.

Familiarity with e-way bills, GST invoices, delivery challans, LR/GR, and gate passes.

Strong coordination, follow-up, data management, and documentation skills.

Ability to handle multiple vehicle dispatches and maintain accurate records under time pressure.

Must be organised, responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely truck placement and dispatch.

Accuracy and completeness of dispatch documents.

On-time delivery and POD collection.

Accuracy of daily dispatch data and reporting.

Reduction in dispatch errors, delivery delays, and vehicle waiting time.

Preferred Candidate: Someone with hands-on experience handling daily truck dispatches in a steel processing plant, steel service centre, or manufacturing company, with strong documentation and data management skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
