Position Summary We are seeking a seasoned electrical design professional with strong expertise in UL-certified and CE-certified industrial control panels . This role focuses on end-to-end design ownership , compliance with global standards , and customer coordination during the design phase . Ideal for someone who can handle complex technical requirements across international markets while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1. Design & Engineering Lead the design of industrial electrical panels compliant with UL, CE, and other global standards. Finalize panel layouts, schematics, wiring plans, and component selection using design tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN. Optimize design for functionality, safety, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency. Provide design support during manufacturing and site installation stages. Preparation of bill of material (BOM). 2. Customer Coordination Coordinate directly with customers and end-users during the design and planning phase to gather requirements and propose solutions. Conduct design review meetings to align expectations and ensure compliance with specifications. Offer technical support for customer queries related to compliance, layout, and design feasibility. 3. Certification & Compliance Ensure all panel designs meet the requirements of UL standards (such as UL 508A, UL 61800) and handle interface with UL for inspections and approvals. Design and support CE-certified panels as per EN/IEC 60204-1 and other European directives. Participate in seismic qualification and special application testing for panels as needed. 4. Internal Collaboration Work closely with the production, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure design intent is maintained during manufacturing. Guide junior engineers or drafters where required. Interface with the certification team and testing engineers to ensure smooth product approvals. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 3 to 8 years of experience in industrial panel design, with a focus on international compliance. Proven expertise in UL-certified panel design , CE compliance , and working with certification bodies. Practical experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar platforms. Strong communication and coordination skills, especially with customers and internal teams. Up-to-date knowledge of UL, CE, IEC, and other relevant standards. Preferred Skills Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 79, IEC 61439. Experience in seismic testing for industrial panels. Knowledge of export panel requirements for North America, Europe, and Asia. Understanding of functional safety or hazardous area compliance (bonus).
