vConstruct, a Pune based Construction Technology company, is in search of process-oriented individuals with a background in Civil Engineering/Architectural/Construction Management for the position of Rebar and Concrete Modeler. As a Rebar and Concrete Modeler, you will be responsible for creating high-quality deliverables and outputs within the scheduled timeline. You will work independently to manage assigned tasks and collaborate closely with the Project lead and Project Coach to plan project implementation effectively. Your key responsibilities will include carefully studying project documents such as drawings, details, RFIs, and addendums to identify missing information, discrepancies, and constructability issues. You will be required to develop accurate 3D and 2D models for concrete and rebar using Tekla software and apply your knowledge of Cast in place concrete systems and constructability. Additionally, participation in trade coordination meetings to incorporate changes in models and creating field deliverables like shop drawings and CAD files will be part of your role. Furthermore, you will be expected to check the quality of work for accuracy before submissions to client teams, have familiarity with construction practices related to concrete and rebar installation, and possess the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding project deliverables. Understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and LOD requirements, researching new features in tools, and exploring automation to enhance workflows are also essential aspects of this role. The ideal candidate for this position will be a detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You should exhibit a passion for construction processes, BIM, and construction technology, along with over 2 years of hands-on experience in Tekla Structures for modeling and drawing generation. Moreover, you should have a sound understanding of rebar processes, structural codes, and construction methods in India and the U.S.A. Knowledge of reinforced concrete detailing principles, US rebar standards (ACI), and familiarity with construction practices related to rebar installation are also required. You should have experience in BIM Software such as Civil3D & Navisworks and possess knowledge of CAD/BIM standards. It is required to have proficiency in computer-aided drafting software like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Navisworks. Experience in clash detection/resolution and producing clash reports is essential. Your responsibilities will include preparing electrical MV & LV cable, substation drawings, telecom drawings, street lighting drawings, CCTV drawings, single line diagram & Load Schedule Drawings, building wiring, and lighting drawings. You will collaborate with the BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure projects comply with policies and processes, and ensure timely implementation and completion. Working closely with BIM lead, Design Leads, and Engineers, you will develop engineering drawings, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details. You will coordinate design documentation using BIM software and tools, manage BIM-related activities from project start to completion, and review drawings for adherence to standards. Your role will involve content creation, creating parametric and non-parametric families, understanding LOD requirements, and BIM processes. You will also prepare technical drafting and modeling drawings for the infrastructure (Dry Utilities) Division, coordinate with other disciplines on design changes, and liaise with Project Engineers on information requirements and progress. Utilizing Civil3D and Navisworks, you will coordinate interference/clash detection and resolutions, create engineering drawings based on concepts, sketches, and requirements, and contribute to the team's objectives and knowledge sharing. Additionally, you will support the wet utility team and perform other responsibilities as required. To qualify for this role, you should have a Diploma or degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 8+ years of CAD drafting experience in Dry utilities projects. Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360 (Advantage) is necessary to excel in this position.,
