Job Description Technician (Fire hydrant) Position: Technician Warehouse Maintenance Department: Logistics Location: Girud , Raipur Share your CV - hr@shantigroup.co Role Purpose The Technician – Plant Maintenance is responsible for the efficient operation and upkeep of plant machinery, utilities, and safety systems, with a primary focus on maintaining and testing the fire hydrant system. The role ensures smooth functioning of equipment through regular inspections, preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and strict adherence to housekeeping and safety standards, thereby supporting plant reliability and fire safety readiness. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of plant machinery, utility systems, and the fire hydrant system. Perform regular testing of hydrants, pumps, valves, and pipelines to ensure operational readiness. Carry out corrective maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance. Monitor equipment performance and take proactive measures to improve system productivity. Maintain accurate maintenance records, testing reports, and compliance documentation. Ensure housekeeping and adherence to workplace safety guidelines in the maintenance area. Support compliance with fire safety regulations, audits, and statutory requirements. Report daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and fire system testing activities to the reporting manager. Skills & Competencies Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical operations. Hands-on experience in maintenance and testing of fire hydrant systems preferred. Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices. Ability to operate tools, machinery, and fire safety equipment. Strong record-keeping, reporting, and documentation skills. Awareness of safety regulations and emergency preparedness standards. Qualifications Minimum 10th Pass with ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent discipline. Experience 2 to 5 years of experience in plant/industrial maintenance, preferably with exposure to fire hydrant system maintenance. Compensation Salary Range: 15,000 – 20,000 per month (based on qualifications, experience, and skill set).
