Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Area Sales Manager, located in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and managing a sales team in the assigned area. Daily tasks include developing and executing sales strategies, meeting sales targets, conducting market research, establishing relationships with clients, and providing training and support to the sales team. The role also involves monitoring market trends and identifying new business opportunities. Qualifications Strong experience in Sales and Business Development Proficiency in Market Research and Analysis Excellent Leadership and Team Management skills Effective communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets Knowledge of automotive batteries, power backup systems, or renewable energy is a plus Familiarity with the Kolkata metropolitan market is preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Main responsibilities: Develop new channel partners in the assigned territory Distributor & Territory Management Market / WOD planning with distributor and ensure execution to achieve market share objective Forecast Planning, Sales Planning & Target Delivery as per AOP Regular communication with all the distributor & monitoring sales Secondary Sales Management and Market Collection Qualifications: Degree: Graduation from Commerce or management background/ Postgraduate Experience & Skills: 3- 10 years experience in the Channel Sales and Distribution network Builds and maintains strong relationships with the key stakeholders Customer & market orientation: Anticipate and addresses evolving customer and market needs & build close and sustainable customer relationships Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required Proficiency in Regional language Stability in the past companies Presentable Industry: Battery, Invertor, FMCD or related industries, auto spare parts, Lubricants
