Job Title: Preschool Teacher Reports To: Centre Head / Academic Coordinator Job Overview: The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, engaging, and stimulating learning environment that promotes the holistic development of young children. The teacher implements age-appropriate activities in alignment with the school’s curriculum framework, ensuring a balance of cognitive, physical, emotional, and social growth. Key Responsibilities: 1. Curriculum Implementation Plan and deliver daily lessons and activities as per the prescribed curriculum and monthly theme. Integrate play-based, hands-on, and inquiry-based learning methods. Prepare teaching aids and learning materials using available resources effectively. 2. Classroom Management Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment. Encourage positive behavior and guide children in developing social skills, empathy, and respect. Observe, assess, and document each child’s development and progress. 3. Communication & Coordination Maintain open communication with parents through daily updates, meetings, and events. Coordinate with co-teachers and support staff to ensure smooth classroom operations. Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school events. 4. Child Well-being & Safety Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and emotional comfort. Follow all health, hygiene, and safety protocols diligently. Identify and respond appropriately to each child’s individual needs. 5. Professional Development Stay updated with new teaching techniques and early childhood best practices. Participate in training sessions and continuous learning programs conducted by the organization. Qualifications and Skills: Graduate / Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a preschool or early learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children. Ability to maintain records, plan lessons, and work collaboratively in a team. Work Environment: Classroom-based role with interaction among children aged 2–6 years. Involves participation in events, celebrations, and outdoor activities.
