The Freight Forwarding Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business and expanding existing accounts across international and domestic logistics channels. The role focuses on identifying shipper needs, proposing compliant and cost-optimized solutions, and driving profitable volume through air, ocean, and multimodal freight services. Prospect, qualify, and convert new shippers within assigned verticals or territories. Conduct needs analyses to understand routing, Incoterms, transit-time requirements, and cost sensitivities. Develop tailored logistics solutions, including air freight, ocean FCL/LCL, cross-border trucking, and customs brokerage. Manage a revenue-generating pipeline, track opportunities through CRM, and maintain a disciplined sales cadence. Build long-term relationships with decision-makers (logistics managers, procurement leads, supply chain directors). Coordinate with operations, customer service, and customs teams to ensure service execution aligns with client expectations. Track competitor activity, carrier market conditions, and customer supply-chain shifts. Provide feedback to product and operations teams regarding service gaps, emerging opportunities, and trade-lane demand. Ensure all proposed solutions comply with export/import regulations, security protocols, and company policies. Strong understanding of Incoterms, international trade documentation, customs processes, and carrier networks. Proven ability to close mid-market or enterprise logistics contracts. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Existing book of business or established shipper relationships. Experience with specialized cargo segments (project cargo, perishable, DG, e-commerce fulfillment).
