Job Description: As a Junior Interior Designer, you will work closely with our senior design team to assist in the planning, designing, and furnishing of interior spaces. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, from residential to commercial spaces, and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the development of design concepts: Collaborate with the senior design team to create initial design concepts and mood boards for client presentations. Conducting research and sourcing materials: Research and source materials, finishes, and furnishings to be used in projects, considering factors such as sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics. Producing detailed drawings and renderings: Create detailed 2D and 3D renderings and drawings using industry-standard software to communicate design concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders. Assisting in project management tasks: Support the senior design team in managing project schedules, budgets, and deadlines, ensuring that all projects are delivered within the agreed-upon timeframe and budget. Coordinating with vendors and contractors: Communicate with vendors and contractors to obtain quotes, place orders, and ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and furnishings. Conducting on-site visits and inspections: Visit project sites to oversee installations, ensure adherence to design specifications, and address any issues that may arise during the construction or installation phase. Staying updated with industry trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in the interior design industry, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the firm&aposs design offerings. Requirements: Bachelor&aposs degree in Interior Design or a related field. Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong creative and conceptual skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
