Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, your role involves developing, testing, and debugging software in an embedded platform. You may work on projects related to designing, developing, testing, and debugging driver or application software for microcontrollers or Linux platforms. Additionally, you will define, develop, test, and debug applications to validate the functionality of hardware or existing embedded software. Key Responsibilities: - Very good programming skills in C language or C++ language - Possess skills in microcontroller based firmware development - Implement software as per a given hardware, software, or protocol reference manual - Understand concepts of RTOS, microprocessors, interrupts, assembly instructions, startup code, memory map, etc. - Experience in Linux porting / device driver development - Hands-on experience in setting up Linux kernel or BSP build environments - Hands-on experience in writing Linux kernel space code - Knowledge of kernel build environment, Linux device driver development, and common kernel functions - Experience in Linux user space development - Experience in developing complex software with multiple processes, synchronization, and inter-process communication - Understanding of APIs related to file I/O, memory management, process management, and signal handling - Skills in silicon validation, including deriving test cases from hardware specifications, developing validation software, and debugging hardware in lab bench, FPGA, or simulation environments Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages - Experience or knowledge in microcontroller firmware development, RTOS concepts, Linux porting, device driver development, and Linux user space development - Understanding of hardware/software references, microprocessors, interrupts, assembly instructions, memory map, etc. - Hands-on experience in setting up Linux build environments, writing kernel space code, and working with common kernel functions - Ability to develop complex software with inter-process communication, synchronization, and knowledge of file I/O, memory management, and process handling APIs - Experience in silicon validation, deriving test cases, developing validation software, and debugging hardware (Note: No additional details of the company were present in the job description.),
