Role & responsibilities

LINUX L2

In-depth knowledge of Linux: SUSE, RedHat,

Install and maintain all server hardware and software systems, as well as manage server performance and availability.

Linux Boot process, Performance issue troubleshooting.

Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP.

Experience with Linux-based VPN clients, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, filesystems, and authentication.

In depth knowledge in traceroute, tcpdump, tracepath, nc, ifconfig, nmap, netstat, ethool, RAID & different types/class

Hands on experience in DNS, ftp, samba, ldap, e-mail, ntp, nfs, dhcp services ,config , vmstat, iostat, nfstate

Previous working experience as a Linux/cloud Administrator for 8 years.

Knowledge on any one cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Extensive knowledge in Storage and Filesystem management.

Work with users to resolve account/system issues.

Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux Systems.

Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions and applications on an on-demand basis.

Install, upgrade, and maintain Linux based systems (SUSE).

Experience on backup and recovery.

LINUX L3:

Managing & maintaining SUSE Servers

Managing IBM, DELL, Lenovo Fujitsu and HP HANA appliance servers.

Building/reimages SUSE Linux servers in both physical and virtual environment.

Managing Linux virtual machines that are configured in ESX environments.

Providing Level 3 supports to the customers and Managing the Antivirus environment.

Patching and OS upgrades on SUSE servers

Exposure on DNS, NFS, Samba, FTP, LDAP, NTP, Email services.

Knowledge on SAN or NAS environment.

Knowledge on RAID, LVM.

Exposure on any clusters and package management

Good understanding of Networking concepts like TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing and Name Resolution.

Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues.

OS Concepts on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, LDAP, high availability and disaster recovery concepts, Monitoring etc.

Knowledge in configuration management systems such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible Must Have: Skills in Cloud (AWS Or Azure Or Both is advantage) AWS Skills: Experience with EBS,EFS, VPC, Elastic Beanstalk, SNS, Cloud watch, S3, EC2, Auto scaling, CloudFront, ELB etc. Hands on NSG & NACL, Firewall management. Responsible for creating and managing EC2 instances using VPCs. AWS EC2 CLI Tools for auto-scaling of instances, backup management, s3 management Azure Skills:

Thorough knowledge on Azure platforms IAAS, PaaS. • Deep understanding of Cloud Computing and various deployment methodologies •

Ability to design application and deployment architecture from On-premise to Cloud

Provided architectural guidance for Azure solutions

Strong knowledge of Azure App services, Azure Resource Manager (ARM Templates)

Good understanding of Azure storage options

Good Understanding of Azure networking like VNETS, NSGs , ExpressRoute, site-to-site and point-to-site connections

Strong Knowledge on Security options in Azure

Hand on experience on Windows PowerShell

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate / AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies

SYBASE ASE DB L2:

Good understanding of Sybase ASE DB

Login/User Creation

DUMP and LOAD concept (Taking ASE DB Backups)

Analyze and Implementing ASE parameter changes

Start/stop of DB for replicated and non-replicated systems and Basic troubleshooting

Increase ASE DB Space(data and log)

ASE DB Upgrade

DB refresh activities

SYBASE ASE DB L3

Good knowledge in System Replication server Architecture

Deep understanding of Sybase architecture, installation, configuration, maintenance and applying the security patches

DB Shrink

SRS configuration and troubleshooting latency issues

Performance tuning

Experience with high availability and disaster recovery planning and solutions

Knowledge of scripting languages for automation

Advanced SQL knowledge including stored procedures, triggers, and complex query optimization techniques

Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
