Description
- Experienced Linux Administrator with 8+ years of experiences supporting Enterprise level Linux environment. - Experiences including installation, configuration, upgrades, capacity/resource planning, performance tuning, user account management, security, backup and recovery strategy, promoting process improvement, problem solving, adhering to security policies and managing clusters of DB servers. - Experience is required for cloning production data to development/test environments, and application optimization including query optimization. - Prefer admin with SAP BASIS support experiences . - Responsible for administering Linux systems & servers hosted on Azure and AWS - Perform system backups and recovery. Perform periodic tests of backups to ensure success. - Responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and configuration of Linux servers. - Provide support to the SAP Development and Data teams, and occasionally clients, to troubleshoot issues related to the application. - Expand existing AWS infrastructure with industry best practices, considering scalability, reliability, and cost. - Create automation scripts for repetitive processes - Background in basic networking and server monitoring protocols and tools. - Experience with design, implementation and support of monitoring tools in a complex, multi-platform environment. - Strong hands on experiences with administrating Linux (SUSE ,CentOS, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu). - Ability to provide assistance with design, maintenance, and improvements to enterprise level solutions. - Demonstrated ability with programming and scripting languages. Experience with PowerShell, Python, and Unix Shell Scripting is highly desirable. - Ability to adjust priorities in rapidly changing environments, work well under pressure. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present complex ideas and designs to a variety of technical or non-technical stakeholders. - Able to provide effective work support off-hours when or if needed.
