Ø Oversee daily operations of all technical systems: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, elevators, escalators, DG sets, STP/ETP, etc. Ø Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules are followed without service disruption. Ø Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults swiftly to minimize downtime. Ø Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) for all technical assets. Ø Ensure all AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) are active and vendors are delivering as per SLA. Ø Maintain inventory of critical spares, consumables, and tools. Ø Ensure technical systems comply with statutory, safety, and environmental standards. Ø Coordinate with local authorities (Fire Department, Pollution Control Board, Electrical Inspectorate) for compliance certifications. Ø Conduct periodic safety audits and emergency response drills. Ø Supervise and evaluate performance of all technical vendors – electrical, HVAC, lift, DG, etc. Ø Validate work completion, service reports, and vendor invoices before approvals. Ø Maintain strong coordination for timely renewal of AMCs and SLAs. Ø Monitor consumption of electricity, diesel, water, and other utilities. Ø Propose and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability measures. Ø Identify and reduce technical wastage and inefficiencies. Ø Coordinate technical fit-out approvals for new tenants as per mall standards. Ø Ensure timely completion of technical works during store openings, expansions, or refurbishments. Ø Provide technical inputs during mall upgrades, renovations, and capex projects. Ø Maintain records of all technical inspections, maintenance logs, equipment checklists, and compliance certificates. Ø Submit periodic reports on equipment performance, breakdowns, energy consumption, and vendor status. Supervision and Leadership: Overseeing the work of firefighters and other personnel during emergency response situations. Fire officers often play a key role in coordinating efforts and ensuring that everyone follows established protocols. Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that firefighting equipment, such as hoses, extinguishers, and vehicles, is properly maintained and ready for use at all times. Community Outreach: Engaging with the community to raise awareness about fire safety, offering educational programs, and promoting a culture of prevention. Emergency Medical Response: Depending on the jurisdiction, some fire officers may be trained to provide basic or advanced life support in medical emergencies. Code Enforcement: Enforcing local fire codes and regulations to ensure that buildings and facilities comply with safety standards. Incident Command: Taking a leadership role in managing emergency incidents, organizing resources, and coordinating with other emergency services to mitigate the impact of the incident.
