Location: Salt Lake, Kolkata, India

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Science, Commerce, Humanities, Computer Science,

or related fields

  • 5+ years of industry experience with at least 2–3 years in L&D or training roles in IT-

enabled environments

  • Exposure to cross-cultural or overseas client projects
  • Certifications in L&D, Instructional Design, IT, or relevant domains are a plus

Role Summary:

We are hiring a dedicated LiDAR Trainer (L&D Specialist) to join our Learning & Development team at iMerit.

As a LiDAR Trainer, you will play a vital role in shaping the technical capabilities of our delivery

teams by imparting deep knowledge of LiDAR annotation workflows, client-specific tools, and

project guidelines. You will be responsible for designing and delivering effective training

programs focused on 2D/3D data labeling, cuboid and polyline annotation, multi-sensor fusion,

and LiDAR segmentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and conducting structured training sessions for new hires and existing team

members.

  • Developing training materials, assessments, and hands-on modules based on project

requirements and evolving client standards.

  • Analyzing learner progress and production data to identify knowledge gaps and

implement targeted upskilling.

  • Providing on-floor support during live production and ensuring seamless knowledge

transition.

  • Driving continuous learning initiatives to align with quality and productivity goals, directly

impacting successful project delivery.

This role is critical to enabling high-quality, high-accuracy data labeling, which powers the

training of cutting-edge AI and autonomous systems.

We’re looking for someone with strong LiDAR annotation expertise, a passion for teaching, and

the ability to adapt training approaches to meet diverse learner needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Instruction & Gap Analysis:

Analyze complex client instructions and convert them into effective learning

points.

Identify instruction gaps, edge cases, and clarification needs.

Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve ambiguities.

  • Training Design & Delivery:

Develop structured training plans, PPTs/manuals, and teaching aids.

Deliver engaging virtual or classroom sessions across projects/domains.

Facilitate cross-functional and refresher training as required.

  • Assessment & Evaluation:

Design pre/post assessments to measure knowledge and process

understanding.

Analyze learner performance and production quality to identify retraining needs.

Monitor the effectiveness of training via feedback and performance

improvements.

  • Production & Floor Support:

Resolve queries related to tools or client processes during live production.

Escalate issues to subject experts as needed.

Provide timely support for pilots/POCs and new project onboarding.

  • Data Management & Reporting:

Organize and verify data sources, transcriptions, and annotations.

Handle exceptions and errors in the production environment effectively.

Maintain MIS reports and communicate progress/delays with stakeholders.

  • L&D Operations & Best Practices:

Adhere to organizational SOPs, data security, and confidentiality policies.

Utilize IT tools and learning platforms effectively for content creation and training

delivery.

Maintain cleanliness, professionalism, and time/resource efficiency.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and process adherence
  • Comfort with using tech tools, platforms, and productivity software (MS Word, Excel,

PowerPoint)

  • Effective time management, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and professional work ethic
