Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Librarian to manage and oversee the operations of the school library. The ideal candidate should be passionate about promoting reading and research habits among students and faculty, and capable of managing both physical and digital library resources in a structured and student-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the school library.
• Organize, catalog, and maintain books, journals, and digital resources.
• Assist students and teachers in locating and using library materials effectively.
• Develop and implement library policies and systems.
• Promote a reading culture through reading programs, book fairs, and related activities.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming library environment.
• Manage the library budget and coordinate with vendors for procurement of resources.
• Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned materials.
• Ensure regular updates to the library inventory and database.
• Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning with relevant resources.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a librarian in a school or educational institution (CBSE experience preferred).
• Familiarity with library management software and digital library systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local language (Kannada) is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
